The Apply Savvy Process

The college process can feel overwhelming, but it becomes much more manageable with a clear plan, thoughtful guidance, and structured support. My role is to help students and families understand where they are, what comes next, and how to make informed decisions at each stage. Whether you are just getting started or already deep in the process, I tailor my support to your student’s needs, goals, and timeline.

1. Start with an Initial Consultation

I offer a complimentary 30-minute virtual consultation to learn more about you and what brings you to this process. Before we meet, I will ask you to complete a brief intake form covering your academic background, where you are in your planning, and what you are hoping to accomplish so our time together is focused and productive. During the consultation, I will explain how I work, answer your questions, and help determine whether we are a good fit to move forward together.

2. Choose the Right Level of Support

After our consultation, I'll recommend the service option that best fits your needs. Some clients prefer a comprehensive package with ongoing guidance, while others choose a smaller block of advising hours for targeted support. My services are personalized, so the level of involvement depends on your current stage in the process, your timeline, and your goals.

3. Build a Personalized Plan

Once we begin working together, I develop a personalized plan based on the student’s academic record, interests, activities, goals, and family priorities. Depending on the stage of the process, this may include academic planning, college list development, application strategy, timeline management, or decision support. My approach is always grounded in student fit, affordability, and long-term value.

4. Stay Organized and On Track

I help families break the process into manageable steps with clear milestones and next actions. From planning coursework and activities to developing a balanced college list and managing deadlines, I provide structure that helps students stay focused and families stay informed. The goal is to reduce uncertainty, avoid last-minute scrambling, and keep the process moving forward with confidence.

5. Make Thoughtful, Informed Decisions

Throughout our work together, I help families understand admissions realities, evaluate options carefully, and make decisions with greater clarity. I look not only at academic fit, but also at affordability and family budget, so college choices are both exciting and realistic. My role is to translate a complicated process into clear guidance that supports better decisions at every step.

6. Move Forward with Confidence

By the time applications are submitted and decisions arrive, families have a stronger plan, better information, and a clearer sense of direction. Students are more prepared, parents are better informed, and the entire process feels more organized and less stressful.
